It’s official—Lainey Wilson is engaged! The country music superstar and her longtime boyfriend, Devlin “Duck” Hodges, are set to tie the knot.
Wilson shared the exciting news with fans on Wednesday, February 12, through a heartwarming series of photos and videos on her social media accounts. The images beautifully captured the romantic proposal moment, followed by the couple’s joyful embrace after Wilson said “yes!”
How Lainey Wilson & Devlin Hodges Met
Wilson and Hodges first met through mutual friends in Nashville and quietly built their relationship before making their red carpet debut at the 2023 ACM Awards.
At the time, Hodges was still playing in the NFL for the Pittsburgh Steelers, while Wilson’s country music career was taking off. Despite navigating major life changes, they found a way to support each other, strengthening their bond along the way.

“We met at a time where he was still playing with them, but then it all changed… His life was changing as my life was changing, and we were going different directions.”

During an interview with Bunnie XO for CMT late last year, Wilson joked about waiting for Hodges to propose. When Bunnie predicted that a proposal was coming in 2025, Wilson playfully responded:
“No pressure, brother! No pressure! I might have to propose to him. We waiting!”
Bunnie XO then reassured her, “No, Duck’s gonna do it. I could feel it.” Wilson smiled and replied, “I like that.”
